No Foolin'

Really...no April Fool's day joke on you or anyone else! Today is all about change for me!

I am so excited to unveil my new logo! You can see it at the top of this blog. I had it designed for me to go along with my new business plan. I wanted fresh, young, and fun. And I got it! You will see this logo on everything from this blog to the packaging on your pictures to my future website.

So why the new logo and blog? Well, rather than just float along and hope someone accidentally finds me and asks me to take their pictures...I have developed a business plan and intend to carry it out resulting in a successful business I can be proud of, grow with, and help my family reach our goals. Though I will remain part-time until all my children are in school, I dream of running a photography business rivaling some of the greats here in SW Kansas. Today is my first step toward that goal.

One major change with the launching of this business will be a new pricing structure. To date, I have not charged any sort of sitting fees and only minimally above my own costs on prints. But I will be raising my rates to industry standards for several reasons: a) so as to not undermine the industry; b) a successful business must make money if it is to survive; c) to be able to offer my clients the best (of ME, of products, of selection!).

BUT...you can lock in my current prices if you book NOW! Anyone who books through the end of April (for sessions to occur before July1) will receive my currect pricing! (That means NO SESSION FEE! 5x7=$5 8x10=$10)

Wow! That's a lot of info for one post! But I wanted to update you on all that is going on here at Brooke Jantz Photography. Check back often...I plan to use the blog for fun things like contests and drawings as well as the Sneak Peeks you've seen on the old blog. Welcome!!

this is great!

if you're ever in wichita, we might be interested in family portraits once our children are home! or, maybe we could do it someday on gma's farm... would you go to plains to do a shoot?

well, that's a ways off, but it's definitely something we want to do.
