My aunt just sent this link http://www.dashpoemmovie.com to me. She sent it in memory of her mom who passed away on 6/1/07. She lived a very long life...into her nineties I believe. Wish I could give my aunt a hug this morning!

Sneak Peek...from TODAY!

Whew! It's been a busy week here! I'm sorry to have not blogged anything new for all of you. Beleive me...I wish I could have!! I'll probably be scarce through next week b/c we *think* we may finally get to move. But...I just had to post a few quick shots from my morning shoot. This is baby brother #5...and he's as cute as his brothers. I have lots more still to proof but I couldn't wait to get my hands on some of these.

I'll be busy painting this weekend. Come on over if you want to pitch in!

This is a shot for Grandma...a very specific request and I think we captured it.

He turned 4 weeks today...but when you are nine pounds at birth, that little tummy won't stay small for long. I love how you can see his tummy between his leg and arm. He's a cute little chunky monkey!

He fell asleep right at the end. We wanted to get a shot of him in his baptismal outfit. I think he looks so peaceful in this shot. He was zonked out! And I love his little hand...

Three Blessings...At Sunset

I love this picture. A few things I want to do differently next time but I was just happy to get this. We had just gotten home from town to get groceries and only had electricity to half the house. The wind was blowing like crazy and we were all a little tired. It was past bedtime, but when I saw the sunset, I shoo'd them all out the door to get this picture! I hope you all survived the stormy weekend and a Happy Memorial Day!! God bless our men and women in uniform!!

Emma at Sunset

This is my oldest daughter. Last night I really wanted to try a sunset silhouette. My goal is to get one with the three of them. Of course Emma found a dandelion...can you see the little "wishes" floating away? I hope to get a client to do a family shot like this...if Kansas has one thing it is wind...er, I mean, beautiful sunsets!

Peekaboo!

How cute is he?! This was from my session over the weekend and this little guy just turned one the day before. He was really good at peekaboo! Have a great day!!

Sneak Peek

Three cousins...3.5, 1.5, and one! I grew up with the parents of these kids. Mom of the older ones was my best friend growing up. I remember playing over at her house as a child and thinking she had the coolest toys. Her mom taught me piano lessons, we all went to church together, ran cross country together in high school...and even went to "nerd camp" together after our junior year. She married her high school sweetheart and now they have two beautiful children! The little guy belongs to her brother who married a girl from the town I now live in...so we know everyone on all sides of their families.

We had a beautiful morning to shoot...we got some great shots (and a few others not worth mentioning. :)) Hope you enjoy your sneak peek A's and W's! It was GREAT to see you all and hope you survived your weekend!

New Background color

Yay! I got my shipment today of new paper colors. I got a new roll of white which I desperately needed! I also got a roll of chocolate brown. Yum! But the one I couldn't wait to get was this gray paper! I think it photographs so beautifully. I threw Maddie in front of the camera b/c I just couldn't wait! Tell me what you think!

Sneak Peek for the "S" family!

We had 30 mile an hour winds Saturday when we were trying to take these pictures. Lovely. But we did get some great shots...these are a few of the studio shots. I will post some of the outdoor shots tomorrow (or when I get a chance!). The littlest guy gave me a run for my money so we are very happy to just have him IN the pictures. Smiling would just be icing on the cake! And Miss E LOVED the camera. She could have posed for me all day I think. And I would have let her! I had fun guys and hope you enjoy your peek!!! Happy Mother's Day!

I had a great Mother's day, spending time with my kids. I told my husband last week all I wanted was to get a good family picture of us for our new house. So after church, we went out to eat and then went to snap a few pictures. If one of us weren't almost two, I think we could have gotten the perfect picture. LOL! At any rate, I'm pretty happy with what we got. Here's a sampling...hope you are enjoying your Mother's Days as well!

Beauties and the Geek

I had so much fun with my sister and her friend yesterday. They drove over 6 hours and then spent the weekend out here in farm country just so they could have me take their pictures. I am beyond flattered. It was fun but it was still work. My sweet nephew likes to make his aunt work for any smiles. And the girls were spunky...but man were they cute! We got some great captures and I will be proofing like crazy the next few days. But since they drove so far I'm throwing up a couple early favorites to tide them over for a couple of days. Thanks girls!!!!!!!!!

Garden Visitor!

We were playing outside this morning when this beauty came along to entertain us for a while. She was HUGE! About the time we were telling Daddy all about her, we saw her out the window. Followed quickly by a hungry bird. I went out to snap a few just in case the bird gets lucky today. :)
